Truth and Belief

Just Imagine!! Instead of Mumbai being attacked by so called Jehadi elements, Karachi being attacked by so called Hindu extremists. Karachi’s premier hotels were attacked with automatic Kalashnikov rifles and grenades by young group of ten people, spraying bullet at spree and killing people including some foreigners belonging to US and Britain. Of course, now a day it is difficult to find any British of US tourist in Pakistan, however we need not pay anything for just imagining the situation. Pakistan commandos have caught one renegade who calls himself as Keshav and Pakistan declares that he is a member of Hindu Maha Parishad (HMP). Zardari starts Indian military along with Hindu extremists has framed this attack. Pakistan media starts accusing, India of state sponsored terrorism on Muslims in India starting from Malegaon to all the attacks on Jaipur, New Delhi, Allahabad, Aksharadham, Bangalore and all those places which they are unable to remember.
Look at the reaction in India. Lalu, Karunanidhi and Moily starts yelling on the top of their voice that Saffron brigade is defaming India’s name. Omar Abdullah suspects Kashmir may also be a sufferer of such extremism. Indian media starts showing origin of Sangh Parivar and other Hindu Fundamentalists with “exclusive” videos of their anti-national activities. Neither Indian Prime minister nor foreign minister is ready to address Media on this issue. If they address also, they promise that they are convinced (without any proof) that HMP is behind this and will arrest all the members of the organization and handover them to Pakistan for a fair and clean trial. Indian so called intellectuals like Ananthamurthy, Javed Akthar and co., start cursing Hindus and tell that majority community on minority is in progress since a long time. Congress finds an excuse for dismissal of Gujarat and Karnataka Government for supporting antinational activities. Bal Thackeray and Raj Thackeray suddenly disappear. BJP immediately starts disowning the Hindu Maha Parishad Links. It starts telling, terrorism is not having any religion and “nationality”.
On the other side, shrewd and neatly dressed Pakistan leaders start pleading world and specifically US, that the fight on terror is becoming difficult as it is from all sides. They are supposed to be equipped with sophisticated weapons for this purpose and demand for same. To fight terrorism both on eastern and western borders more money is required and they will convince and manage to GET it.
On the other side, Indian Politicians are still busy in mudslinging and fighting as to who has to lead Elections in Gujarat and Karnataka and how best this issue can be used during election.
By this time, Pakistan will be going ahead with US and the entire world pressurizing inclusion of Kashmir to Pakistan.
The moral of the story is Truth and belief are two different things. We need to convert the truth into belief and then to action. Sorry state of India is they have the truth, little belief and lack action, whereas Pakistan is not ready to know the truth, but has full belief and full of action. This was visible during Dr.Rice visit to India and Pakistan.
